Welcome to our site!

I have been a Fire Webmaster for the better part of 4 years now. I started with World Fire Departments.com and have had great success with the site. I started World Firefighter.com as way to play with a new way of using advanced code to make a site that is easier to maintain so I can spend more time on making improvements for the viewers of the site.

Now a little about the Webmaster on a firematic note.

I have been a member of the Ossining Fire Department in Ossining New York for a little over 15 years.

I have been a member of Two companies one for roughly 12 years and left to join my current company at Steamer Company #1.

As a member of the department I have attended the following courses:

  • Firefighting Essentials
  • Pump Operators Course
  • Coast Guard course for small boat handling ( required to be on the boat crew)
  • Fast Team Operations
  • Firefighter Survival
  • Mask Confidence Course
  • EMT-B

I along with my department responded to NYC on 9/11

I was also awarded Firefighter of the year in 2000 for rescuing 5 people from a 6th floor balcony. Myself and the group involved in the rescue received Firefighter of the year for 2000 in Westchester county and we received the group award from the Hudson Valley Association of Firefighters.

I am currently on our Rapid Intervention Team and have been a member of the team since it started.

I have been a member of our Fire Boat for over 6 years and have been a pilot for the last 4 years.

I like to read Firefighting magazines because the fire service is always changing and that is a better to stay with new techniques.

I served as the Chairman of the Awards Committee for WCVFA from 2001-2003 and was removed by the President John Cellante of Sleepy Hollow. Don't worry I will be back after he is gone! The strong persevere!

I am probably leaving something out but when I remember I will add it.
